AMIGO, Vincent E. of Everett, Age: 84, entered into rest on Good Friday, April 14, 2017 in the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. He was born in Boston and resided in Everett for all of his life. Vin graduated from Everett High School. He was a well-respected police officer in the City of Everett, retiring in 1981 after 25 years of serving and protecting the citizens of Everett and he also owned and operated Everett Landscape for many years. Beloved son of the late Manuel and Malva (Champa) Amigo. Dear and devoted brother of Alfred of Malden, Barbara Linnane of Everett, Irene Katz and her husband, George of Wilmington and the late Richard of Medford, Walter of Billerica and Anita of Everett. Brother-in-law of Margaret Amigo of Billerica. He is predeceased by his sisters-in-law Carol of Medford and June of Malden and his brother-in-law, Daniel Linnane of Everett. Also surviving are his many loving nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews and cousins. Vinny is also survived by his best friend of over 50 years, John C. Smith of Everett, and the entire Smith and Riley families. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Vincent's visiting hours in the Cafasso & Sons Funeral Home, 65 Clark St. (Corner of Main St.) EVERETT, Tuesday, April 18 from 4-8 p.m. His funeral will be from the funeral home on Wednesday at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass in the Immaculate Conception Church, 487 Broadway, Everett at 10 a.m. Interment in the Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden at a later date..
