Thomas G DeLeo was born in Boston, Massachusetts on June 21, 1947. Beloved child of Edward DeLeo and Mary DeLeo (Moran).
From an early age, Tommy was known for his mischief and playful humor. Quick witted and clever, his friends and family were always entertained with his one-liners and spot on impersonations.
Tommy graduated from Peabody Veterans Memorial High School in 1965. Immediately following graduation, he proudly enlisted in the United States Navy. He honorably served during the Vietnam war before receiving his honorable discharge in 1969.
Unsure of where life would lead him, he was quite the nomad, traveling the west coast and enjoying himself while pondering on the future. Tommy returned to the East Coast in 1971 and began his career in the carpentry/ construction vocation.
In 1972, he met the love of his life, Olga Rosa. Their story began at a nightclub, where a mutual friend introduced them. They began the next chapter of their lives together on October 7, 1973. They were married in Everett Massachusetts. They decided to move back to Tommy's hometown of Peabody Massachusetts where they would build the life and family they dreamed of. He believed in working hard, providing for his family, and doing every job with honesty and pride.
Together, Tommy and Olga built a beautiful family. They welcomed their daughter Cynthia; in 1974, followed by their son Christopher, in 1976. Family was the center of Tommy's life, and every decision he made was rooted in his love for them.
Outside of work, you could always find Tommy in the garage, tinkering and fixing anything and everything. Always listening to his transistor radio and joyfully singing along to every song.
In 1986, Tommy endured one of the greatest heartbreaks with the passing of beloved son, Christopher. Through profound loss, he remained a man of remarkable strength, and unwavering devotion to those he loved.
In 1997, Tommy and Olga purchased a summer home in Standish, Maine, located on Sebago Lake. Up at the crack of dawn, Tommy loved fishing on his pontoon boat, sitting on the deck with family and friends, having a glass of wine and watching the sunset.
Tommy is survived by his beloved wife and best friend of 53 years, Olga; his devoted daughter, Cynthia and his cherished grandson Christopher, who brought him immeasurable joy and pride, as Christopher always considered his "Pappa" to be his mentor, confidant, and above all, treasured patriarch. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and sisters-in-law.
His greatest accomplishment was the family and friendships he built. He cherished Sunday dinners with family, and always looked forward to getting together with lifelong friend, Tom Cote. The two were constantly joking and "busting chops" with one another.
Although our hearts are heavy with absence, we take comfort in knowing that his love and the countless memories he gave us will never fade.
Despite Tommy's passing happening abruptly and unexpectedly, he was surrounded by family and showered with everlasting love.
Family and friends are invited to attend visitation at Cafasso and Sons Funeral Home. 65 Clark St, (Corner of Main St.) Everett, Mass, Saturday, November 14, 2026 at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass in Immaculate Conception Church, 487 Broadway, Everett Massachusetts at 11 a.m..
