GRAFFEO, Salvatore D. J., Sr. of Saugus, formerly of Malden, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, May 11, 2019 in the Melrose Wakefield Hospital after a brief illness and surrounded by his loving family. He was 70 years of age.  Born in Boston, Salvatore lived in Malden for many years before settling in Saugus.  He worked for the City of Malden, Department of Public Works as their garage foreman, retiring after 25 years of service to the community.  Devoted son of the late Charles and Carmela (DiModica) Graffeo.  Beloved husband of Linda (Chalmers) Graffeo and the late Edith L. (Sica) Graffeo.  Dear and devoted father of Charles R. Graffeo, Sr. and his wife, Christine, of Saugus, Salvatore D.J. Graffeo, Jr. of Lynn and Anthony J. Graffeo of Saugus.    Brother of  Anthony Graffeo of Saugus, James Graffeo of Medford, Lucille Clarke of Wareham, Donna Solesky of Malden, and the late Anna Kintgen and Virginia Schierland.  Loving grandfather of Nicholas Graffeo, Charles Graffeo, Jr. and Genevieve Cataldo.  Salvatore is also survived by his step-daughter, Amy Lespasio and her children, Kaylee Lespasio, Matthew and Logan Buonopane.  Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Salvatore's visiting hours in the Cafasso & Sons Funeral Home,  65 Clark St. (Corner of Main St.) EVERETT,  Wednesday, May 15 from 4-8 p.m.  His funeral service will be in the funeral home on Thursday at 11 a.m.  Interment Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
