BUCKELLEW, Roy Dean of Revere, formerly of Malden, entered into rest on Friday, November 4, 2016 in the Bedford Veterans Administration Hospital. He was 82 years old. Born in Georgetown, Illinois, Roy lived in Revere for many years. He served in the United States Navy for 20 years during the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam Era. He was retired from the Barnes Building located in South Boston where he worked as a supervisor. After retirement Roy worked for Malden Transportation Company. He also volunteered with the Malden Babe Ruth and Malden Little League baseball organizations. Beloved husband of Marie Joan (Tarantino) Buckellew for over 45 years. Dear and devoted father of Joan Santo of Malden, Kathleen Craven and her husband, Richard of Malden, and the late James Rice, Tammy Pinkney of Jacksonville, FL, Tina Murray of Jacksonville, FL, Curtis Glen Buckellew of Jacksonville, FL, Randy Buckellew of Jacksonville, FL. Brother of the late William Buckellew. Loving grandfather of 17 grandchildren including Charles and Jaclyn Santo, Justin and Richard Craven, John, George and Tiffany Rice and great-grandfather of 23 great-grandchildren including Luis, Dominic and Giovanni Santospirito. Dear uncle of Michael Buckellew of Hawaii, Jon Buckellew of Morehead, Minn, and Mark Buckellew of Bloomington, ILL. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Roy's visiting hours in the Cafasso & Sons Funeral Home, 65 Clark St. (Corner of Main St.)EVERETT, Saturday, November 12 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. with a service and Navy Honors to follow at 12 p.m. Burial is private.
