STEFANILO, Robert A. of Peabody, entered into eternal rest in the Lahey Hospital & Medical Center in Burlington.  He was 67 years old.  Bob was born in Everett and lived in Peabody for many years. He was a bus dispatcher, working for Yankee Bus Lines. He was a man whose love for his family knew no bounds. A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, he dedicated every ounce of his being to those he loved. His children were his pride, and his grandchildren the absolute joy of his life. No matter how tired he was after a long day at work, he was always ready to shoot hoops, throw a football, play cards, or simply dance in the living room, just to see them smile. He cherished every moment spent with his family, especially on vacations, first with his wife and children, and later, with his grandchildren in tow, building memories that will last a lifetime. A hardworking man from the age of 12, he spent many years in the canteen business, forming lasting connections and touching countless lives. In his later years, he found joy working as a dispatcher for Yankee Bus company, proudly working over 70 hours a week well into his late 60s, never missing a day, never once complaining. He was the very definition of a man who would give the shirt off his back. He helped anyone in need, asked for nothing in return, and took pride in everything he did. He truly had a heart of gold. His legacy is one of unwavering love, humility, and devotion.

Robert was the devoted son of the late Charles and Joan (Locke) Stefanilo; the beloved husband of Diane (Mayo) for over 47 years; the dear and devoted father of Angela Picanso and her husband, Michael of Rowley, Michelle Stefanilo and her fiance' David Longo of Peabody and Anthony Stefanilo and his wife, Deanna of Peabody; dear brother of Charles Stefanilo of Everett and Susan Parziale and her husband, Stephen of Peabody; the loving grandfather of Christopher Cummings, Gavin Cummings, Anthony Stefanilo, Jr., Olivia Picanso and Alison Picanso; the dear son-in-law of Harold Mayo, Sr. and the late Ann Mayo; devoted brother-in-law of Harold Mayo, Jr. and his wife, Maryann, Kenneth Mayo and his wife, Denise, Mark Mayo and his fiance' Tiffany Leahy and the late Patricia Mayo,  Robert is also survived by several loving nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Robert's visiting hours in the Cafasso & Sons Funeral Home,  65 Clark St.  (Corner of Main St.) EVERETT, Thursday, May 8, 2025 from 4-8 p.m.  His funeral will be from the funeral home on Friday at 8:30 a.m.  followed by a funeral Mass in the Immaculate Conception Church,  600 Pleasant St. Malden at 10 a.m.  Burial will be at the Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.  In lieu of flowers,  contributions in Robert's memory to the American Heart Association,  93 Worcester St., Wellesley, MA 02481 would be sincerely appreciated.  Parking with attendants on duty.
