Obituary

VETRANO, Rita Marie (Cook) of Bonita Springs, Florida, formerly of Everett, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, November 27, 2024 in the Life Care Center of Ft. Meyers, Florida.  She was 91 years old.  Born in Hampton Beach, Virginia, Rita lived in Everett for many years before transitioning to Florida to be with family.  Rita cherished her role as housewife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and her devotion to the Church, were her true purpose in life. She was a second grade CCD educator at St. Anthony's Church in Everett for over 40 years and was employed at Bouvier Jewelers for over 28 years where she received the admiration and respect of the store's many patrons.

Rita was the daughter of the late Rita Norris and step-daughter of Maurice Norris; beloved wife of the late Henry Vetrano; dear and devoted mother of Janice Vetrano of NH, Rita McGrath of FL and the late Cathy Vetrano of Everett; devoted sister of Linda Gordon of NC, Brenda Holden of NC and the late Greg Norris; loving grandmother of Matthew McGrath, Stephen McGrath, Taylor Arrington, Cathleen Donahue, Robert Donahue; and loving great-grandmother of Kynlee and Devin Arrington.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Rita's visiting hours in the Cafasso & Sons Funeral Home, 65 Clark St. (Corner of Main St.) EVERETT, Tuesday, December 3, 2024 from 4 p.m.-8 p.m.  Her funeral will be from the funeral home on Wednesday at 10 a.,  with a  funeral Mass to follow in St. Anthony's Church. 38 Oakes St., Everett at 11 a.m.  Burial will be in the family lot at the Glenwood Cemetery, Everett.  Parking with attendants on duty.
