Obituary

NICHOLSON, Richard Bonar of Everett, entered into eternal rest on Friday, March 22, 2024 in the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers.  He had been in failing health.  He was 90 years old.  Born in Hunter Village, Prince Edward Island, Canada, Richard lived in Everett for most of his life. Richard served proudly in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.   He was retired from John McCourt Construction Company as a Construction Foreman.  He was the son of the late John and Hazel (MacDonald) Nicholson; beloved husband of the late Antonietta (Sorrentino); dear and devoted father of Virginia Nicholson of Everett, Hazel Leo and her husband, Giovanni of Everett and Judy DeNardo and her husband, Antonio of Everett; devoted twin brother of the late Berna Orr, and brother of Ethel LeBlanc and Helen Wykes.  He is also survived by 7 loving grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to to attend Richard's visiting hours in the Cafasso & Sons Funeral Home,  65 Clark St. (Corner of Main St.) EVERETT, Tuesday, March 26 from 4 p.m.-7 p.m.  His funeral will be from the funeral home on Wednesday at 11:30 a.m.  followed by a funeral Mass in the Immaculate Conception Church, 487 Broadway, Everett at 12:30 p.m.  Burial will be in the Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in Richards memory to the New England Center and Home for Veterans, 17 Court St. Boston, MA 02108 would be sincerely appreciated. Parking with attendants on duty.
