MAZZIE, Richard L. of Everett, entered into rest on Sunday, December 11, 2016 in the Aberjona Nursing Facility in Winchester, Massachusetts. He was 80 years old. Born in Malden, Richie was a lifelong resident of Everett. He was retired from the Gillette Company where he worked as a fork lift operator. Richie served honorably in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era. He was the son of the late Elsie and Hugo Mazzie. Richie was the beloved husband of the late Clara (Iagallo) who predeceased him earlier this year. Stepfather of Patricia Tripoli and Tania Iagallo. Grandfather of Michael Spagnolo and great-grandfather of Anthony Michael Spagnolo. He was the brother of the late Arnold Mazzie and a sister who passed away many years ago. Richie is also survived by his cousin, Adolph Mazzie and other cousins. A private burial, with U.S. Army Military Honors, was held at the Glenwood Cemetery in Everett on Friday, December 16, 2016. Arrangements were entrusted to the Cafasso & Sons Funeral Home, 65 Clark St. (Corner of Main St.) EVERETT.
