D'EON, Richard Anthony of Saugus, entered into eternal rest on Monday, July 15, 2024 in the Brigham & Women's Hospital in Boston after being in failing health. He was 57 years old.  Born in Malden, Richard grew up in Everett and resided in Saugus for many years. He received his Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice.  Richard worked in Information Technology for Hood Dairy, Raytheon and was a senior representative for Christian Book Distribution. For many years, Richard played in a band and loved music.  He was the devoted son of Dorothy (Panniello) and the late William F. D'Eon of Everett; the beloved and loving husband of Phyllis Ann Scalia-D'Eon for over 20 years; the dear and devoted father of Joshua M. Scalia and his fiance' Alainys Guillen of Beverly and Mary E. D'Eon of Saugus; the devoted brother of William F. D'Eon, Jr. of Everett and Denise L. Allen of Everett; the loving grandfather of Josiah Scalia and Nora D'Eon.  He is also survived by several loving nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, cousins and great friends.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Richard's visiting hours in the Cafasso & Sons Funeral Home, 65 Clark St. (Corner of Main St.) EVERETT, Sunday, July 21, 2024 from 3 p.m.-7 p.m.  His funeral will be from the funeral home on Monday at 8:30 a.m. with a funeral Mass to follow in St. Margaret Church, 431 Lincoln Avenue, Saugus at 10 a.m. Burial will be private.  Parking with attendants on duty.
