Born in Orsogna, Italy, Nicolo worked as an agricultural developer whose farms supplied wheat, grapes, and olives to local businesses. Upon immigrating to the United States, Nicolo became a machinist working for many years at Piantedosi Baking Company in Malden. Beloved husband of the late Assunta (DiRico) for over 63 years. Dear and devoted father of Maria Giggie and her husband, David of Everett and Liliana Hiatt and her husband, Thomas of Endicott, NY. Brother of the late Gino Antonelli and Ida D'Alessandro. Loving grandfather of Stacy Giggie and her spouse, Jacquelyn Behenna, Stephen Giggie and his wife, Dena, Nicole Giggie, Nicholas Hiatt and Amanda Hiatt. Loving great-grandfather of Noah Ii, Tamina Hiatt, Sophia Giggie and Nico Giggie. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Nicolo's visiting hours in the Cafasso & Sons Funeral Home, 65 Clark St. (Corner of Main St.) EVERETT, Thursday, Dec. 6 from 4-8 p.m. His funeral will be from the funeral home on Friday at 9:30 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass in St. Anthony's Church, 38 Oakes St., Everett, at 10:30 a.m. Late member of the Sons of Orsogna Club of Everett. He served in the Italian Army during WW II and was held as a POW in a German concentration camp. Interment Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.
