ZAPPITELLI, Michael C. , of Everett, entered into rest on Thursday, August 18, 2016 at home surrounded by his loving and caring family. He was 81 years old. Born in Abruzzi, Italy, Mike had lived in Everett for many years. For a number of years he worked at Stride Rite Shoes as an assembler. He later worked at Teradyne Corporation. Recently, you could find Mike's smiling face behind the deli counter at the former Johnnie's Foodmaster in Medford which became the Stop & Shop. He was always ready to assist shoppers with their deli needs, making sure that the product tasted good and was sliced to perfection. Beloved husband of Agnes J. (Alba) Zappitelli for over 55 years. Dear and devoted father of Yolanda D'Amore and her husband, Joseph of Groveland, Frances DiVito and her husband, Joseph of Middleton and Michele Villemure and her husband, Scott of N. Andover. Brother of the late Antoinetta Servello. Loving grandfather of Christopher, Nicholas, Joseph and Lianna D'Amore and Nicole and Michael DiVito. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Michael's visiting hours in the Cafasso & Sons Funeral Home, 65 Clark St. (Corner of Main St.) EVERETT, Sunday, from 3-7 p.m. . His funeral will be from the funeral home on Monday at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass in St. Anthony's Church, 38 Oakes St., Everett, at 10 a.m. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett. Contributions in Michael's memory to American Brain Tumor Association, 8550 W. Bryn Mawr Ave., Ste. 550, Chicago, Ill 60631 would be sincerely appreciated. Parking with attendants on duty.
