CIRIELLO, Mary L. (Ryan) entered into eternal rest on Monday, June 29, 2026 in the Katzman Center for Living in Chelsea, surrounded by her loving and caring family. She was 83 years old. Born in Malden, Mary was a Licensed Practical Nurse by profession. She worked at various hospitals including the former Grover Manor Hospital in Revere and the Malden Hospital.
Mary was the daughter of the late James and Catherine (Stevens) Ryan; the beloved wife of the late John S. Ciriello; the dear and devoted mother of Stephanie M. Cheffro of Peabody and Diane C. Le of Everett; the dear sister of Stephen Ryan and his wife, Charlotte of Cataumet, MA and the late James Ryan and his surviving wife, Maryann of MI; the loving grandmother of Julia, Matthew and Nicholas Cheffro and their father Mark Cheffro and Brandon, Alyssa (Johnny) and Arianna Le and their father Frank Le. Mary is also survived by her sister-in-law, Mary Zanazzo Sutera and her husband, Sal, brother-in-law, Charles Drago and late beloved sisters-in-law, Rita Fioretti and Barbara Drago and late brothers-in-law, Ronald Zanazzo and Frank Fioretti and many loving nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Mary's visiting hours, in the Cafasso & Sons Funeral Home, 65 Clark St. (Corner of Main St.) EVERETT, Wednesday, July 1, 2026 from 4 p.m.-7 p.m. Her funeral will be from the funeral home on Thursday, July 2, 2026 at 8:45 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass in the Immaculate Conception Church. 600 Pleasant St., Malden, at 10 a.m.. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mary's memory to Bread of Life, 54 Eastern Avenue, Malden, MA 02148, would be sincerely appreciated. Mary's family would like to thank the Katzman Center for Living and staff for their extraordinary care and comfort provided to her during her 4 year residency at the facility. Parking with attendants on duty.
