BERTONE, Marian Loretta (Cedrone) of Malden, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, January 25, 2021. She was 66 years of age. Marian was born to Vincenza "Rose" (Castellano) Cedrone and the late Cesidio D. "Joe" Cedrone, of York, ME, and formerly Chelsea, MA, on November 6, 1954 in Boston, MA. Beloved wife and devoted mother, she is survived by her husband Paul of 44 years and daughters Alison, of Melrose, Rachel, of New York, and Amanda, of Malden. She is also survived by her mother Rose; her sister Catherine and her husband, Donald Chaisson, of Lancaster; her nephew and godson C. Henry Chaisson; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
She attended Pope John XXIII High School and received a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry from Suffolk University. A gifted award-winning costume designer, Marian spent more than 30 years working for numerous dance and theater companies throughout the New England area, including Boston Conservatory at Berklee, The Lyric Stage Company of Boston, José Mateo's Ballet Theatre, Moonbox Productions, Wheelock Family Theatre, and 18 years at Walnut Hill School for the Arts in Natick, MA. Family and friends above all else, Marian will be remembered for her selfless nature and her willingness to go above and beyond for others.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Marian's visiting hours in the Cafasso & Sons Funeral Home, 65 Clark St. (Corner of Main St.) Everett, Sunday, Jan. 31, from 2-4 p.m. Her funeral will be from the funeral home Monday at 8:45 followed by a funeral Mass in Sacred Hearts Parish, 315 Main St., Malden at 10 a.m. Entombment will be in the Versailles at the Woodlawn Cemetery Community Mausoleum, Everett. Contributions in Marian's memory to The Actors Fund or your favorite local performing arts nonprofit would be sincerely appreciated.
