Kevin McTaggart of Everett, Massachusetts, passed away on September 27, 2026, following a courageous nine-year battle with cancer. Kevin fought long and hard throughout his illness, showing the strength and determination that so many who knew him admired.

Born and raised in Malden, Massachusetts, Kevin was a proud first-generation Irish American and the beloved son of the late Margaret “Peggy” (Cloherty) and James McTaggart. He was the brother of the late Mary “Teresa” McTaggart and Margaret Anne McTaggart, and is survived by his brother, James McTaggart, as well as many loving cousins and dear friends.

Kevin was a lifelong friend of Jimmy and Mardie Sullivan and held a special place in their family. He was a beloved and special uncle to Jimmy Sullivan Jr. and Brooke Sullivan, who will always cherish the memories they shared with him, especially those made during their many summers together at Hampton Beach.

Kevin attended Malden High School and Bunker Hill Community College. He was the manager of the Honey Fitz in Malden, where he also bartended for many years. Kevin later began working as a property manager alongside his best friend, Jimmy, a position he held for more than twenty years.

Kevin was an incredibly hardworking person who took great pride in what he did. He was also known for his great sense of humor, quick wit, and ability to make people laugh. Kevin was truly a great guy, and everyone who knew him loved him. He was a special person who will be missed dearly by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. We take comfort in knowing that Kevin is finally at peace and reunited with his two beloved dogs, Shep and Sandy, whom he loved dearly.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Kevin's visitation on Monday, October 5, 2026 from 10:00–11:00 a.m. in the Cafasso & Sons Funeral Home,  65 Clark Street (Corner of Main St.) EVERETT. A Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home.  Services will conclude with burial at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.  Parking with attendants on duty.
