MESSINA, Josephine E. (DellaPiana) of Everett, entered into rest on Sunday, September 25, 2016, surrounded by her loving family in the Leonard Florence Center for Living in Chelsea, Massachusetts. She was 89 years old. Born in Everett, Josephine was a lifelong resident. She was a devoted Roman Catholic who alongside her husband, Joe attended weekly Mass at St. Anhtony's Church. Beloved wife of Joseph I. Messina for 68 years. Dear and devoted mother of Marianne Richard of Lynn, Joseph A. Messina and Kenneth Messina of Everett, and the late Karen Voto. Loving "Nana" of Robert, Michael and Angela Voto of Lynnfield, Joseph Messina of Topsfield, Cameron and Nicholas Titel of Topsfield, Hunter Richard of Cambridge and Julianna Messina of Concord, NH. Devoted mother-in-law of Donna and Ken Titel of Topsfield. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Josephine's visiting hours in the Cafasso & Sons Funeral Home, 65 Clark St. (Corner of Main St.) EVERETT, Wednesday, Sept. 28 from 4-8 p.m. Her funeral will be from the funeral home on Thursday at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass in St. Anthony's Church, 38 Oakes St., Everett, at 10 a.m. Interment Glenwood Cemetery, Everett.
