Obituary

GROSSI, Josephine M. (Tringali) of Lynn, formerly a longtime resident of Everett, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, March 2, 2025 in the Salem Hospital, after a brief illness.  She was 94 years old.  Born in Augusta, Sicily, Italy, Josephine lived in Everett before settling in Lynn these last few years.  She was a talented seamstress by profession. Josie loved to cook for her large family and hosted many "Sunday" dinners for extended family over the years. She was very involved with the Catholic Church and was a former Sunday School teacher and lector at St. Anthony's Church in Everett.  Josie was an avid artist and loved to paint watercolors with many of her artworks proudly displayed in her families' homes.

She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Serafina (Russo) Tringali; the beloved wife of the late Vincent "Jim" Grossi, sharing over 71 years of marriage; the dear and devoted mother of Vincent J. Grossi, Jr. and his wife, Patricia of Groveland, Anthony J. Grossi and his wife, Amy of Holland, MA, Steven J. Grossi and his wife, Sandra of Beddington, ME, Maryann Cormier and her husband, Glenn of Lynn and John J. Grossi and his wife, Cynthia of Wakefield;  dear sister of Millie Gibson of Everett and the late Anthony Tringali, Guy Tringale and Lorraine York;  and loving Grandmother of 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Josephine's visiting hours in the Cafasso & Sons Funeral Home,  65 Clark St. (Corner of Main St.) EVERETT, Wednesday, March 5, 2025 from 4-7 p.m.  Her funeral will be from the funeral home on Thursday, at 9 a.m. with a funeral Mass to follow in the Immaculate Conception Church, 487 Broadway, Everett at 10 a.m.  Burial private.  In lieu flowers, contributions in Josephine's memory to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 840692, Dallas, TX, 75284 would be sincerely appreciated.  Parking with attendants on duty.
