SCULLY, , Joseph "Joe" W., Jr. of Everett, died unexpectedly, in the Brentwood Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Danvers on Friday, June 14, 2024, Flag Day, after a brief illness.  He was 86 years old.  Born in Everett, Joe was a lifelong resident.  He was a loyal employee of the United States Postal Service at Logan Airport for 40 years. He was a lifetime member of Box 52 since June 15, 1968 a hugh accomplishment in itself. Joe was a Red Cross worker and volunteer who was always on call when needed.  He loved to go to the Everett Armory COA for multiple meals and taking trips.  But most of all he liked taking photos, not of his family, but of buses, single buses, double decker buses and he could tell you everything about a bus by just looking at it. He was the dear son of the late Mary (Haepers) and Joseph W. Scully, Sr.; the beloved husband of Judith A. (Murphy) Scully for 59 years; the dear and devoted father of Susan Petroni and her husband, Rich of Framingham, Linda Donahue and her husband, Joe of Avon and Mary Scully and her fiance', Dave Scioletti, of Everett.  Since he never had sons he was the blessed with three granddaughters: Jillian Neault, Allison Neault and Isabella Petroni. Finally he got sons by having a grand puppy and great grand puppy.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.  The family would like to thank the staff at  Brentwood Rehab in Danvers for caring for him these past months.
