O'Neill, Joseph John of Wakefield, formerly of Everett, entered into eternal life on Wednesday, December 6, 2023 in the Edith Nourse Rogers Memorial Hospital in Bedford, Massachusetts.  He was 87 years old.  Born in Cambridge, Joe lived in Wakefield for many years. Joe served proudly in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.  He worked for American Airlines in freight services and for a brief time worked for the Everett Fire Department. Dear son of the late Michael F. and Helena (Murphy) O'Neill; the beloed and loving husband of Marie A (Finocchio) O'Neill for over 65 years; the dear and devoted father of Joseph J. O'Neil, Jr. and his wife, Nelda of Everett and Michael F. O'Neill and his wife, Maureen Ford of Wells, Maine; the loving grandfather of Christopher O'Neill, Samantha Kurpis and her husband, Kyle, Lyndsey O'Neill, Victoria Sutkus and her husband, Shaun and Alec Cote'; and loving great-grandfather of Emma Silva.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Joe's visitation in the Cafasso & Sons Funeral Home,  65 Clark St. (Corner of Main St.) EVERETT, Wednesday, December 13, 2023 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. with a prayer service to follow at 11 a.m.  Interment with U. S. Army Military Honors being presented at the Glenwood Cemetery, Everett.  Contributions in Joseph's  memory to the N.E. Center for Homeless Veterans, 17 Court St. Boston, MA 02108, would be sincerely appreciated.  Parking with attendants on duty.
