CHARLES, Joseph of Somerville, entered into eternal rest unexpectedly on Tuesday, August 13, 2019 in the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital.  He was 70 years of age.  Born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, Joseph lived in Somerville for many years.  He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Massachusetts, majoring in accounting.  He worked as an accountant for many years.  He also worked at the Walter E. Fernald School in Waltham for awhile.  Joseph was the son of the late George and Aline (Barthelemy) Dorestant.  He is survived by his beloved sisters, Marguerite Calixte, Jeannette Yacinthe, Ermina Dorestant, Marie Lourdes Dorestant and the late Dormise Dorestant.  Joseph is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.  Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Joseph's  visitation and services on Saturday, August 31, 2019 in the Emmanuel Evangelical Church,  22 Park Terrace, Everett  beginning at 10 a.m. and ending at 12 noon.  Services will conclude with Joseph being laid to rest with his family in the Cambridge Cemetery.  Arrangemants by the Cafasso & Sons Funeral Home, 65 Clark St.  (Corner of Main St.) Everett,  617.387.3120.
