BERGHELLO, John A., Jr., Retired Deputy Chief, Everett Fire Department entered into eternal rest at home on Tuesday, September 5, 2023 unexpectedly. He was appointed to the Everett Fire Department on November 22, 1978, promoted to Lieutenant on January 24, 1990, promoted to Captain on October 28, 1992, promoted to Deputy Chief on January 31, 1996 and retired on October 1, 2018 after 40 years in fire service for the City of Everett.  Beloved son of Marie Berghello and the late John A. Berghello.  Dear and devoted father of Kristina C. Berghello of Chelsea and John A. Berghello, III of Chelsea.  Loving grandfather of Dion Acosta.  Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend John's visitation on Thursday, September 21, 2023 beginning at 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. A funeral home service will follow at 11 a.m. and the United States Air Force will be presenting Military Honors.  Burial will be privately held.
