GRANDE, Joan Louise of Medford, entered into eternal rest on Friday, December 20, 2019 in the Tufts Medical Center in Boston.  She was 69 years old.  Born in Melrose, Joan lived in Melrose for many years before settling in Medford.  She attained 2 years of college and was employed by the Liberty Insurance Company as an executive secretary.  Loving daughter of the late John A. and Violet Helen Joan (Geer) Grande.  Beloved mother of Louise V. Grande of Medford.  Sister of Michael Grande and John Grande.  Loving step-mother of Jessie Patterson of SC, Amenia Givens of Boston, Jamie Givens of Boston, Tonya Givens of Boston and Marri Givens of Boston.  Joan is also survived by her significant other, James Walker Givens.  Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Joan's visiting hours in the Cafasso & Sons Funeral Home, 65 Clark St. (Corner of Main Street) EVERETT, Saturday, January4, 2020 from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in Joan's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105 or to the MSPCA, 350 South Huntington Ave., Boston, MA 02130 would be sincerely appreciated.  Parking with attendants on duty.
