DeGEORGE, Joan R. of Everett, entered into eternal rest at her home on Friday, October 29, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. She was 85 years old.  Joan was born in Boston and was a lifelong resident of Everett.  She graduated form Everett High School, class of 1953.  Joan furthered her education at State Teachers' College, Salem in 1957 and her Master's Degree in Education in 1963.  She taught in the Everett Public Schools for 39 years (1957-1996) spending her entire career at the Centre School. Joan enjoyed traveling, the theater, playing cards, trips to the casino, and spending summers at Cape Cod and York Beach, Maine.  Most of all she enjoyed spending time with family and friends at any type of gathering.    Beloved daughter of the late Joseph A. and Frances M. (Ambrogne) DeGeorge.   Dear and devoted sister of the late Joseph A. DeGeorge and his surviving wife, Patricia of Everett, Peter DeGeorge, Angela Canning, Mary Post, and Josephine Armstrong.  Aunt Joan is survived by many loving nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.  Relatives and friends are respectively invited to attend Joan's visiting hours in the Cafasso & Sons Funeral Home, 65 Clark St. (Corner of Main St.), EVERETT on Tuesday, Nov. 2   from 4-7 p.m.  Her funeral will be from the funeral home on Wednesday at 9 a.m, followed by a funeral Mass in the Immaculate Conception Church, 487 Broadway, Everett, at 10 a.m.  Interment Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.  Contributions in Joan's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 would be sincerely appreciated.  Parking with attendants on duty.
