Obituary

Sachetta, James R. of Everett entered into eternal rest on Monday, August 17, 2026, at home, just one day shy of his 99th birthday. Jim was born Vincenzo James Sachetta in Everett, where he lived his entire life.  He was a master electrician, with a 73-year membership in IBEW Local 103; a master drummer and band leader from the age of 15 to 92; co-host of the nationally awarded cable TV show "Older But Wiser"; and the President of the Everett Retired Men and Associates (Erma Club) for over 20 years.  He enjoyed taking bus loads of family and friends to Indian Head and the Beacon to follow his band.  The latest band being "The Swingers".

Jim was the son of the late Charles and Anna (Prinzavalli) Sachetta, the beloved husband of the late and beautiful Rose (DeFilippo), the proud father of Sandra (Sandy) Juliano and her late husband Michael and her recent companion Steve Ianacco, James Sachetta and his wife Kathleen, Joseph Sachetta and his wife Ann, Lorraine (Rainy) Leonard and her husband Mark, and Stephen Sachetta and his wife Lisa.  He was the devoted brother of Anna Raso and her late twin sister Marie Mulry, and the late twin brothers Gus and Sal, Charles, Gaspar, Domenic, Frank, Catherine Sforza, and Angie Monsini.  Jim was also the loving grampa to 11 grandchildren and great-grampa to 8 great-grandchildren.

Relatives and friend are respectfully invited to attend Jim's visiting hours in the Cafasso & Sons Funeral Home, 65 Clark St. (Corner of Main St.), Everett, Wednesday, August 19, 2026, from 4-7pm.  His funeral will be from the funeral home on Thursday, August 20, 2026, at 11am.  Interment at the Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in Jim's memory to the charity of your choice would be sincerely appreciated.  Parking with attendants on duty.
