ROGERS, Helen P. (McCarthy) of Everett, passed away at home on Tuesday November 29, 2016 at age 93. She was born in Everett and was a lifelong resident. She attended Everett public schools and graduated with the Class of 1941. Helen was an executive secretary retiring from IPI Chemical Company in Cambridge. Daughter of the late Henry and Marion (McCarthy) McCarthy. Beloved wife of the late Everett Police Officer, James Rogers. Dear and devoted mother of James J. Rogers, retired Everett Chief of Police/former Chairman of the Everett School Committee and his companion Shirley Barron of Dennis and Thomas J. Rogers, retired Lieutenant Acton Police Dept. and his wife, Cheryl Cohan Rogers of Acton. Sister of the late John H. McCarthy of Everett. Cherished grandmother of Jayne Rogers, Caitlin Rogers, Meghan Rogers O'Barr, Brihgid Rogers Weeks and Shaun Rogers and great-grandmother of Matthew Rogers and Stephen O'Barr. Helen also leaves many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Helen's visiting hour in the Cafasso & Sons Funeral Home, 65 Clark St. (Corner of Main St.) EVERETT, Saturday, Dec. 3 from 9-10 a.m. followed by her funeral Mass in Our Lady of Grace Church, 59 Nichols St. Everett-Chelsea at 10:30 a.m. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
