George Placido Paula, 95 of Medford and The Villages, FL  entered into eternal rest on Friday, June 18, 2021.  Husband of the late Carmella A. Vellucci-Paula, loving Father to Gina Vellucci and Raymond Grace and the late Joseph Baglio Vellucci.  Grandfather to Devon, Michael, and Mariana. Preceded in death by his parents, Placido Paula and Mary Ferdinand Paula (Azores, Portugal), his brothers and sisters, John, Joe, Sid, Theodore, Anna, and Mary. He leaves behind many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

During his younger years, George was a Baker at the Paula Baking Company and later in his life he became a Painter for the Middlesex County Registry of Deeds.  George and Ella traveled the world and enjoyed their adventures together. Always proud of his Portuguese heritage. He entertained both young and old alike sharing stories of his youth spent out on the Boston Harbor Islands. George loved to ride in his golfcart along the paths of The Villages, making friends and enjoying the sunshine. Holidays were a joyous time and celebrated with George's famous wine cookies which he loved to bake and share, a tradition he has passed to family members.  More than anything else, George loved to spend time with family and friends.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit with George's family on Wednesday, June 23 ^rd from 9:00 to 10:00 AM at the  Cafasso & Sons Funeral Home, 65 Clark Street, (Corner of  Main St.) EVERETT, MA 02149, followed by a funeral service celebrated in the funeral home at 10 AM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.  Parking with attendants on duty.
