RICCI, Elizabeth A. of Melrose, entered into eternal rest on Friday, August 22, 2025 in the Melrose Wakefield Hospital after being in failing health. She was 84 years old.  Betty was born in Malden and grew up in Everett. She worked for State Street Financial as an Executive Assistant

Betty resided in Chelsea for many years before settling in Melrose.  She was a women who could not stay idle and wanted to be useful so she volunteered at the Melrose Senior Center and of recent years Betty worked at Market Basket in Reading at the check out area.

Betty was the loving daughter of the late Albert and Carmella (DeLelle) Petrillo; the beloved wife of the late Kenneth Ricci; the dear and devoted sister of Albert  Petrillo and his wife, Joan, Joanne Buonopane and her husband, Ernest, John Petrillo and his wife, Robin and the late Jean Mattuchio.  Although Betty was not blessed with children of her own, she considered her many loving nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews her children.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Betty's visitation in the Cafasso & Sons Funeral Home,  65 Clark St. (Corner of Main St.) EVERETT, Friday, September 5, 2025 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. with  funeral home service at 11 a.m.  Interment will be at the Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in Betty's memory to Tufts Medicine Care at Home, Inc., Development Office,  847 Rogers St., Ste. 201, Lowell, MA 01852 (givingTMCAH@Tuftsmedicine.org) would be sincerely appreciated.  Parking with attendants on duty.
