McCARTHY, Edward F. of Everett, entered into rest on Sunday, February 26, 2017 in the Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Medford after a period of failing health. He was 71 years old. Ed was born in Somerville and lived in Everett for many years. He was a truck driver by profession retiring from a laundry company. Beloved son of the late John and Elizabeth (Conway) McCarthy. Dear and devoted father of Jill Migliore of Saugus and Edward J. McCarthy and his wife, Heather of Medford. Brother of Sr. Marie Ancilla McCarthy, CSJ of Framingham, Edwina Duggan of Chelmsford, and the late Mary McAveeney, Alice Smith, Teresa and John McCarthy. Loving grandfather of Jennifer Migliore, and Brady, Lucas and Riley McCarthy. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Edward's visitation in the Cafasso & Sons Funeral Home, 65 Clark St. (Corner of Main St.) EVERETT, Wednesday, March 1 beginning at 9 a.m. with a funeral home service to follow at 10:15 a.m. Services will conclude at the Woodlawn Cemetery Chapel, Everett.
