SINGH, Diwan (Papa Ji) of Pembroke and Brookline, entered into rest on Friday, May 13, 2022 at the Beaumont Rehab and Skilled Nursing Center in Natick at the age of 88 years old.  He was the beloved son of Gurdit Singh and Sant Kaur, and he was born in Punjab, India. He worked for the Indira Gandhi Canal Project (longest canal in India) in accounting, finance, and management. Diwan was a devoted husband of late Kuldeep Kaur and father of Dr. Surender Singh, Rajender Singh, Bhupinder Singh,  and Pam Randhawa.  He was blessed with five loving grandchildren: Jaskaren, Deep, Robi, Jackie, and Samantha.

He immigrated to the United States in the 1980's and worked until retirement in accounting and finance at the Mass General Hospital, located in Charlestown. He was well respected and loved for his dedication to his employer, co-workers, and to the patients he served.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Diwan's services at the Cafasso & Sons Funeral Home, 65 Clark Street (Corner of Main St.), EVERETT, Saturday, May 21, 2022, from 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. with a Cremation Service to follow at the Woodlawn Cemetery Crematory, 302 Elm Street, Everett at 11:00 a.m.  In addition, the family requests your presence for the Religious Service and Guru ka Langar (lunch) at the Gurudwara Sikh Sangat Boston, 10 Thorndike St, Everett, MA 02149 from 11:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
