Tewksbury – Charles J. Giacobbe, Jr., 75, of Tewksbury, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, April 17, 2026, at Lahey Hospital & Medical Center.

Born on June 2, 1950, in Everett, Massachusetts, Charles—known to many as "Charlie"—was the beloved son of the late Charles J. and Josephine I. (Magistro) Giacobbe.

Charlie was a dedicated and hardworking man who always put his family first, working tirelessly to provide for his daughters. He spent many years of his career at H.P. Hood as a shipper and receiving manager. After leaving H.P. Hood, he continued his career at Cain's Foods, where he remained until his retirement. In addition, Charlie spent 33 years working part-time as a starter at Hillview Golf Course—a role he truly enjoyed and where he formed many lasting friendships. He also worked at TD Garden as a security guard, always willing to lend a hand and stay busy.

Charlie had a passion for golf and was an avid bowler. He also thoroughly enjoyed playing softball and was a devoted Boston sports fan, proudly cheering on the Patriots, Celtics, Red Sox, and Bruins. He had a love for music as well and could often be found jamming out in the car, something that always brought a smile to those around him.

He loved spending time with family and friends, whether it was taking day trips to the beach, visiting casinos, or traveling to experience and play different golf courses. He also enjoyed playing cards, especially cribbage.

A devoted father, Charlie is survived by his loving daughters, Michelle Giacobbe; Toni Gibbs and her husband, Daniel; and Christine Murphy and her husband, Steven. He was a proud and cherished "Papa" to Kylie-Ann Laskey, Evan Shanahan, and Daniel, Matthew, and Brayden Murphy, all of whom brought immense joy to his life.

He was the beloved brother of Kathleen Skrabut and her husband, Stanley, and the late Caroleann Hawko and her late husband, Armand Desjardin. He is also survived by his niece, Tara Stone and her fiancé, Rich Viera; his nephew, Philip Skrabut and his wife, Diane; his great-nephew and great-niece; as well as many cousins and dear friends.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Charlie's visiting hours in the Cafasso & Sons Funeral Home, 65 Clark St. (Corner of Main St.), Everett, on Sunday, April 26th from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., followed by a funeral home service at 12 p.m.
