Brunilda "Nilda" Rivera of Orange, California was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother, beloved friend and a dedicated health care professional who provided private duty nursing assistance to older adults for over 30 years. Prior to her life's work  in long term care, Nilda was employed in the Boston Public Schools as a bilingual community field coordinator where she conducted home visits and assisted parents in becoming more engaged in their children's education.   Nilda passed away peacefully at her home on November 3, 2021 at age 86. Her sudden diagnosis of cancer demonstrated her remarkable courage, faith, and grace.

Her cheerful attitude, love for life, bright and beautiful smile and compassionate heart will be dearly missed by her family, relatives, friends, community, and clients.

Nilda was the loving and devoted mother of Nestor Morales, Jr. of Malden, Mass., Kathleen Morales Steamer of State College, PA and husband James, and David Morales of Melrose, Mass. Cherished grandmother of Bruce Robert Steamer. Dear sister of the late Mercedes, Miguel, Angel Tomas, Rafael, Genoveva, Luz Maria, Fernando, John, Carlos, Virginia and Miguelito.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visitation on Friday, June 10, 2022 at 8:30 am in the Cafasso & Sons Funeral Home, 65 Clark St.  (Corner of Main St.) EVERETT

Followed by her  funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in the Immaculate Conception Church, 487 Broadway, Everett, Mass. 02149.

Nilda will be laid to rest at a private graveside service for immediate family at Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett, Mass.
