Obituary

FALETRA, Benedict. D. "Buddy" of Chelsea,  entered into eternal rest at home, surrounded by his loving family, on December 14, 2020.  He was 88 years old.  Born  in Chelsea, Buddy remained a lifelong resident.  He was a  professional hairdresser who owned and operated Benedict's Hair Salon in Everett for many years before retiring. Beloved husband of the late Margaret M. "Dolly" (DeMartino) for over 55 years.  Dear and devoted father of Sharon M. LaRosa of Center Conway, NH, Benedict Faletra of Chelsea and Paula Scudieri and her husband, Frank of Wakefield.  Brother of Joseph Faletra of Peabody, Josephine Sinatra of Everett and the late Anthony Faletra.  Loving Papa of Jay LaRosa and his wife, Becca, Leanne LaRosa and her wife, Jackie LaRosa, Carissa Thekaekara and her husband, Anthony and Salvatore Scudieri and his wife, Amy.  And Great-Papa of Concetta Thekaekara.  Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Benedict's visiting hours in the Cafasso & Sons Funeral Home,  65 Clark St. (Corner of Main St.) EVERETT, Friday, December 18 from 4-7 p.m. His funeral will be from the funeral home on Saturday at 8:45 a.m. with  funeral Mass to follow in Our Lady of Grace Church, 59 Nichols St., Everett-Chelsea at 10 a.m. Services will conclude with U.S Air Force Military Honors at the Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.  Contributions in Benedict's memory to Apostolic Sisters,  43 West St., Boston, MA 02111 would be sincerely appreciated.    COVID-19 protocols must be maintained in the funeral home and the Church: face masks, social distancing, etc. Parking with attendants on duty.
