Obituary

Alfred Arthur Bova of Tewksbury entered into eternal rest at home, surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, October 9, 2024. Born in Everett, Al dedicated 30 years of his life as a firefighter with the City of Everett Fire Department. He also served proudly with the Massachusetts National Guard. Al was the beloved husband of Carolyn C. (Cate) for over 57 years. He was the dear and devoted father of Renee Bova of NH and Christopher C. Bova, Esq. and his fiance, Tarina McAndrews of Tyngsboro. Al was the dear brother of Rita V. Bova and her wife, Linda Fischer of CA, and the late Philip Bova and Stephen A. Bova, Jr. He was the loving Grumpy of Skye Calder, Ian Calder, Kali Calder, Quinn, Bryn and ChaseAlyn Calder, and Justin Bova.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Alfred's visiting hours in the Cafasso & Sons Funeral Home, Everett, on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, from 4 p.m-7 p.m. His funeral will be from the funeral home on Wednesday at 9 a.m., followed by a funeral Mass in St. Anthony's Church, Everett at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at the Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden. Parking with attendants on duty.
