DeVITO, Albert, of Melrose, formerly of Everett, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, November 30, 2017 in the Aberjona Nursing Facility in Winchester after a brief illness. He was 101 years old. Born in Boston, Al lived in Everett for most of his life before settling in Melrose with his daughter, Terri and her family. He worked for many years at the Quincy Shipyard and later the MIT Draper Laboratories as an electronic technician. Al was also a professional chauffeur for many years for Technology Garage, Inc. Beloved husband of the late Dorothy (Iagallo) for over 75 years. Dear and devoted father of Teresa Dunleavy and her late husband, J. Kevin of Melrose and the late Ronald DeVito and his surviving wife, Eleanor Halas. Brother of Guido DeVito and his wife, Rose of Tewksbury and the late Joseph, Arthur, Jillio, Frank and Fanny DeVito, Catherine Fosso, Barbara Constantino and Natalie Remillard. Loving "Papa" of Kristine Holloran and her husband, Timothy and Lisa Leo and her husband, Joseph and loving "Great-Papa" of Brendan, Samantha, Madison and Olivia Holloran and Joseph and Sean Leo. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Albert's visitation in the Cafasso & Sons Funeral Home, 65 Clark St. (Corner of Main St.) EVERETT, Wednesday morning , Dec. 6 from 9 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. followed by his funeral Mass in St. Anthony's Church, 38 Oakes St., Everett, at 11 a.m. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
